Blog Temporarily Suspended

October 11, 2010

This blog was down for some hours today, with the message that “due to violation of the WordPress terms of service, this blog has been suspended”.

“Ok, here we go again”, I thought, and went to make soup for my family. Yes, I have a life, and loved ones to look after. This blog is by far not my number one priority in life.

After cooking and cleaning, I had time to write a mail to WordPress, asking about the problem. This too is routine now, as the blog has been under serious attacks before. This is the first time, though, that it has been shut down completely.

In my mind, I had already commenced Plan B: set up the blog with a different host, this one safe from attacks by AOL. Imagine my surprise, when suddently the blog re-opened, and this message came:

Hi,

Our apologies – the system should not have done that.

We have removed the warning and we are very sorry for any concern it may have caused.

Word Press

So, my friends: we are no longer at Defcon 5! It was a false alarm, and this blog is still in business.

    hurrey!!

i noticed it when it was down and was worred if there was another manual posted with was claimed to violate the copyright statement.

Let’s hope AOL doesn’t print a manual on “breathing” or “using toilet” or “satvic sex” (Bawa would love to write one on that, judging by his talks on the subject during the courses !)
I am sure AOL people would want to control the amount of air we breath, if they could!

By the way, is there any patent no or registered trademark number for the things claimed as copyright? and is Sudarshan Kriya even approved as patent?

      • WhistleBlower permalink
        October 11, 2010 7:26 pm

I doubt it. In all my years with AOL, I never saw any patent for anything, just AOL claim on patent for SK. And then they claimed patent on different manuals when we put them on the blog.
All AOL stuff including SK, So hum, knowledge points, different processes, etc, etc. are plagiarised material and cannot be possibly patented!
To this date, AOL has not produced any proof for their claims re patented material.
They just use it as a weapon in their attempts to shut down our blog.

This blog is getting popular considering the number of hits it gets. Its not your priority, however so many people have spent time and energy in contributing to it so it will be a shame to let it go to waste. It is an act of social service. The contributors and future visitors are also now stakeholders in this blog and its bigger than you now 🙂

The few hours of suspension showed how precious this blog is and that it plays an important function. I hope this blog stays open till Ravi closes his businesses enriching himself and his family using the front of spirituality and using the money collected in the name of charity. And until such day comes, I do hope many such blogs like ours are opened.

Good to hear that was a false alarm, If something really happens at least it would be good to know where to look to see the updates of this blog. One place would be KLIM’s blog if KLIM’s could at least provide newly established link to this (skywalker’s) blog.

Interestingly enough, as soon as I saw our blog down, I checked Klim’s blog and was relieved to see that one is still on line.
And your suggestion is great. The other good place would be guruphiliac’s blog.

This blog is essential to people getting out of cults, particularly AoL. It would be a shame to ever see it go down. WhistleBlower, since you seem to have emails from years ago, can we assume you are saving all this content to re-post if this blog ever goes down?

For those seeking help in getting out of AoL or any cult,
the book “Faith”(Trusting Your Own Deepest Experience) by Sharon Salzberg is a great read.
Sharon comes from a Buddhist perspective but quite eloquently addresses Bright Faith vs. Blind Faith. One need not be Buddhist to find healing and perspective on cult abuses. This blog is dedicated to fostering bright faith vs. blind faith.

      Excerpt:
“I wanted the protection against suffering so badly that at times I would have happily taken whatever delusional part came with it. When it came down to it, maybe I would rather have followed unthinkingly than have investigated and questioned. It certainly would have been easier.

It’s the same longing that seduces people into following ego-centered cult leaders without discrimination. History is rife with the horrors that come with this kind of blind faith. Those on a spiritual path undoubtedly know many stories in which bright faith and blind faith got confused. Dazzled by a teacher or doctrine, we might find ourselves misled, abused, betrayed.

When we fail to question what we are placing our faith in during that first firing of attraction, bright faith, becomes blind faith. We stop thinking, we surrender without discernment, we are willing to be deluded as long as we can stay connected to the person or group that stirs our hearts and validates our lives”

Here’s to Bright Faith! This blog is most certainly supportive of each individual developing discernment and trusting their own deepest experience.

When I saw the blog has been suspended today – felt like I last something which can’t be replaced. Good to see it is back online. Skywalker/Whistleblower/Doc/Procecutor – you guys have to come up with plan B in the event of shutdown – putting an update in KLIMs blog or have another blog simply links this one (in blogspot for example) and if something happens to this one – you can activate that.

Yes, this blog and Klim’s blog have really become a resource centre for those who want to know the truth re AOL/Ravi Shankar. Their loss would be a loss to freedom of speech and would really be sad as they are really helping a lot of people to heal from their experiences with AOL and also warning others before they fall into AOL trap.

It would indeed be a sad day if wordpress ever gives in to pressures by AOL bullies (the likes of Mr. Yezdi with their vested interests in AOL businesses) and closes this blog. We all need to take responsibility and do our bit. SkyWalker already has given so much of his/her time to set up this blog and maintain it and already has a plan B under his/her sleeve. The best thing we can do, is to send the links to these blogs to as many AOL people as we can and publish the URLs in any place we can, especially in relation to any AOL PR article published anywhere.

Second, everyone can make a back up copy of the blog, just in case.

Third, get articles published in mainstream media and write to tax agencies in your countries. All it takes is if just one investigative journalist or one country’s tax dept. checks AOL affairs esp. after reading our blog (and familiarizing themselves to the ways AOL transfers money to India to private businesses of RS and family), the rest will be a domino effect for AOL to collapse in all countries. AOL is based on deceit and dishonesty, once this is exposed no one will give their money and free time to this scam.

        @WhistleBlower,

I think we need to come up with a list of key posts across these blogs which get to the core of where we are coming from.

Do we have everything we need yet to make a convincing argument, or are we missing anything? I still have a couple of things in the pipeline which I really need to finish and which will add to this.

Also, one other key are we really need to get in touch with and warn is Universities and Colleges. My friend who was working for the student’s union years back mentioned that he went on a course to learn to spot if people looked like they were members of cults. This is a huge thing for universities and as such I’m sure they’ll be open to hearing about both the Yes!+ and Yoga Raves and what the real intention is behind both of these.

        Hi Doctor,
I like all your ideas. Great idea to make a list of key posts. Feel free to go ahead and make a list. Perhaps you can put these in a separate post and update them as we go. I would be useless in making a list, as I like them all. Every one shedding light on a different aspect of AOL and sharing their own unique experience in their own unique way. Another useful thing would be putting the posts in different categories.

And you know, there are as many untold stories as there are all those AOL teachers and volunteers who have left the organization. More and more of these people are coming forward, sharing their stories knowing that their experiences were not isolated and that here they can enjoy a healing/supportive environment and at the same time contribute to our blog and our collective understanding, healing and power.

And I look forward to your future posts. If they are anything like what we have seen from you so far they promise to be most insightful and enlightening and very popular with our readers.

And I totally agree with you. For me also, the youth are the most urgent priority as they seem to be most in danger of falling into AOL trap. Their innocence, enthusiasm, idealism, sincere desire to make a difference and help the poor is misused by AOL to enrol them into a cult and keep them trapped during their most vulnerable years. And AOL is definitely focusing on them with things like yogarave and yes+ and “yes we can” and what not. It really pains me when I see young men and women leave their studies, their families, their career to join AOL and then after giving years of their lives to AOL, finding Sad Swami badmouthing and defaming them and calling them mentally unstable.

So I really liked your idea about informing Students unions and universities to the true nature of AOL events and courses and AOL clubs. We should all take responsibility in this regard. And having few posts warning the youths on our blog would be most useful.

    “Hi,
Our apologies – the system should not have done that.
We have removed the warning and we are very sorry for any concern it may have caused.

    Word Press”

See even Word Press doesn’t know what hit them! How would these agnostics know about the power of guru’s curse? Didn’t bawa warn about “the anger of the enlightened” on his blog? JGD!

Since so many people – AOLers and many ex-AOLers too- on this blog are convinced that SSRS has supernatural powers, tantric sidhhis, power to suck energy from his devotees etc., couldn’t this mystery be a manifestation of his powers? SSRS himself has modestly admitted of his supernatural powers on bawa’s blog. During his Arosa trip or whatever when the whether cleared unexpectedly, he said that “Rain can wait, but my devotees can’t”.

I remember once we were organizing a Maha Satsang in Mumbai in the last of week of May. Monsoon starts in Mumbai usually in the first week of June, but sometimes a bit earlier. I raised the doubt that an early rain might spoil the plan. My teacher Manisha Mehta, Bawa and Harish (Sumeru Solutions guy) replied in all sincerity that they would ask guruji to hold up the rains till the Maha Satsang.

My only puzzle is why did SSRS shut the blog only for a few hours? Did He just want to give a mild warning? Was He unwell and so could not muster His full powers? Or is it that since internet is a new invention, hence cyberspace is not yet properly covered by His traditional siddhis that only work against rains, weather, earthquake etc. ?

God has again started moving in mysterious ways!

    • WhistleBlower permalink
      October 12, 2010 2:29 am

Abhilash, by the way, do you know if Manisha Mehta is still with AOL or not? She used to send regular AOL news, but nothing from her for many months now.

Bawa hated her guts and did everything he could to destroy her. And now that Bawa’s daddy is pleasing Ravi by working on a SriSri University for AOL (another excuse for AOL to get $$$$$ from Western countries through brain-washed people like Adria Estribou (see AOL lifestories blog) who betray their own countries and all true charities to help these frauds to fleece their countrymen), Bawa has gained more control/dominance in AOL and succeeded in eliminating all his enemies (lots of them in AOL, due to his arrogance and bullying and corruption).

AOL looks more like mafia by each passing day and soon only corrupts are left in the running of the organization.

      • Abhilash Shastry permalink
        October 12, 2010 3:26 am

I have not been in touch with Manisha for quite some time. She has been avoiding my negative vibes since I ‘betrayed’ AOL. May be our good friend Harshal knows if she is still with AOL.

I can understand why Bawa tried to destroy Manisha but that would be going too much into their personal lives.

Thanks Abhilash. To me all the senior teachers who are actively deceiving public and filling up Ravi’s coffers and their own pockets need to be exposed. Let’s not forget a lot of innocent seekers are trapped by them and their deceitful claims.

I did not find the first Guru of all guru-busting blogs – ie, guruphiliac.blogspot.com mentioned as a link on this site. It would be nice to show our gratitude for what guruphiliac has been relentlessly doing for so many years since 2005. Rody is the inspiration for all seva-warriors who are spending their very, very precious time in doing guru-busting on cyberspace. In face of such guru-busting, most frauds will get exposed in due time as media and other sources also have sting-operation methods now (look at “Paramahansa Nityananda” example). These rascals are shaming whole India by turning spirituality into a business for self-interest. Let guru-busting seva be done relentlessly like it is already being done on guruphiliac and other blogs.
