But joking apart, how cultish to ask people to give specific concerns and specific reason for blessing.
I advise against giving any personal info to any AOL people. It is dangerous and will be used against you. Nothing is safe to be shared with AOL reps, not even personal health info, your relationships, your job details. Stay away, stay safe. As mentioned before Ravi and his lackeys have no power to bless anyone with anything. Ravi couldn’t even bless himself with NPP, in spite of craving for it badly.

Ravi Ravi has copied this online blessing ffrom Nithyananda who has copied it from evangelical christian cults. Although Ravi Ravi has advised Nithyananda of not following rules of Tantric Sex (what rules and who decides only Ravi Ravi knows and UNAIDS guidelines (what the hell is it) while having sex, he has no problem in copying his sales strategies.
From all that I read, UNAIDS is for a UN program against AIDS. How the hell this is connected to Nithyananda’s amorous adventures or Ravi’s rules on Tantric sex, I don’t see a connection at all.
Sounds like something he just cooked up for the media.

4. Throw in a common Saivite temple architecture motif on the flier – CHECK
5. 11,000 people singing? WHAAT? how are they going to come up with such a number in the war-devastated, people crying for food, rehabilitation and livelihood to come and attend a religious event?

I am sure many of the ex-AOLers have done most of the courses listed to qualify as an online-blesser. May be AOL should add a statement that the qualifications for being an online blesser ceases once the person quits AOL and the powers of blessing would automatically be void.
I just had a funny thought. It is because of people like SkyWalker that AOL online blessers have to ask the exact reason for the requested blessing. Otherwise, previously you could pay few hundred US$, tell all your sexual fantasies and become a blesser and bless everyone without asking them for any reason.
Now thanks to people like SkyWalker, who have spoilt it for all of us, everyone has to say the reason for their requested blessing. Blessers can no longer bless without asking the reason, lest some people request blessings such as SkyWalker’s. Heaven Forbid, one of the AOL blessers could have blessed this blog, without even knowing it!!
And could have been worse, what if somebody wished that AOL be exposed, or that media start investigating AOL or that villagers get their lands back from AOL, or all the AOL money diverted to private businesses be returned to their rightful owners, etc.
So having thought about this, I can see AOL blessers have every right to ask the exact reason for the requested blessing. Knowing how powerful AOL blessings are (Grace of the master flowing through blessers), they may end up exposing AOL through giving blessing to blogs like this and what not!

@Guru-ouch-I dont have any problem if an human being blesses another human being. If you have an issue with that, then you will , unfortunately ,have to live with that for the rest of your life.
@Ron: You should ask that question to some intelligent people here, who will tell you where AOL copied that from, what it actually means etc etc . They will also debate it with one another and then you can sit back and increase your IQ in the process.

Intentions of blessing should be the welfare of the receiver. If intention is the publicity of the giver, then it is not Blessing. Its publicity stunt and AOL is expert in this area.

The Art of Living Foundation (ALF), founded by spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Maharaj, would be attempting to break Guinness Book world record by cooking highest number of vegetarian food items by an organisation using community kitchens on November 2.
“We at the ALF believe just like prayer helps us connect spiritually with the Supreme being, food is also one of the mediums to connect to God,” Rishi Nityapragya of the foundation told reporters.
“Devotees of Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) would be attempting to prepare 5000 vegetarian food items, totalling around five tonnes, using over 250 community kitchens here on November 2,” Nityapragya said.
“The present Guinness record is of 4600 food items, and we would be attempting to break it in the presence of Guruji himself who will bless the people during the event which we call Annan Brahm or annakoot,” he added.
The unique thing about this big kitchen would be that all the ingredients used for cooking shall be organic, chemical free and the preparation would be based of ayurvedic principles.
As many as 1.25 lakh people from across the country are expected to participate in the event.
These people are not professional, but common persons from all walks of life, Nityapragya said.
Nityapragya further said devotees would prepare specialties according to their regional affiliation.
The food items prepared would be distributed by Guruji as Prashad to nearly 25 thousand underprivileged children in the city, he added.
After the nobel peace prize dismal failure and the declining number of guinea pigs into art of living, this is the new stunt. AOL is now planning to gain fame through guiness book of records. They were planning some music orchestra which had the highest number of musicians. The fact was several among them were dummies just planted to increase numbers. Now we have the food festival for guiness. What a joke. These people will go to any lengths to gain fame.

Then AOL makes a big fanfare as to the greatness of their blessing process. There won’t be a mention of the other 99 unfulfilled requests.
Reminds me of the time during Indian elections when AOL was criticizing congress party for welfare schemes and boasting about their programs saying that they don’t give fish – rather they empower people by teaching them how to fish.
I’m curious to know who is gonna foot the bill – wealthy patrons who want good karma, or is the foundation actually spending money for a change ?
In india people do charity to expiate their sins – and if they realize the wrong they have done, then it’s a step in the right direction – though they need to do a lot more. Knowing AOL though, this is likely to be a PR stunt to counteract the bad press the organization has been getting lately.
If only they would have a more transparent organization and hold people accountable. Much better way to clean house.

I’m assuming the blessings received also do not reflect the views of the organization. Let’s face it – the moderator is clearly representing the organization if he is giving blessings/replying to messages. They should just acknowledge the fact and train people accordingly. Why do AOL people behave like idiots ?
When we did the blessing course, the prerequisite was the basic course, three advanced course, one part-3 course with guruji, at least one DSN and sahaj samadhi. The course was pushed as the pinnacle of being a channel for guru’s grace, and only the super-qualified could even attend.
Now AOL says this:

Yes! Anyone who has completed One Art of Living Part-1 / YES+ course AND Two Part-2 (The Art Of Silence) courses is eligible to do the Blessings course.
So now, people who have done just these courses are automatically equal to those old timers who had to do all those extra DSN, sahaj and part-3 courses?

You can money in two ways in business –
1) Deep – that is more margin, when you have less people to sell you got to sell with more margin. In your days you have to take more courses ($$$$) to attain the levels that could be achieved much easier now. Ex. Speciality stores.
2) Breadth – Can work with less margin when you have lot more people to sell. With more people less courses are enough to make lot of profits. Ex. Big Box discount retailer.
When you start looking AOL as business things will be much clear.
