Have you considered what happens when the leader is exposed ? The devotees will disappear. Suddenly everybody is on the sidelines (if at all). Just look at the number of disgruntled Sai Baba devotees around you now. Many who are even flocking to AOL. Look at what existing and ex-office bearers of these dis-reputed organisations are going through…..they are facing the legal/public backlash….just like it happened with Nityanand and now starting to happen with Sai Baba and Ramdev.
Do yourself a favour….Ask yourself just ONE QUESTION…..
Can I really be 100% sure that the AOL organisation has no skeletons in the cupboard ???? In what way is AOL any different from these other openly fraudulent organisations ?
Time and distance are known to be good healers…..so are advance courses in jail (in fact its free)….I am sure you know better.
Are you afraid of retribution ? You want to leave, but dont know how. Well, the only way to take care of this is to carry any evidence of fraud with you and keep it safely in multiple places……Just in case !!!!! Better safe than sorry.
You should be now sensing that protecting the image of SriSri is everything. If that goes everything goes. You are safe as long as he is powerful (meaning that there are still millions of followers around). But compared to his image….what is YOURS ….NOTHING…it is expendable. After all your life is less valuable than he is !!!! He is bringing in world peace. Whereas man, you just do the day to day stuff.
How much do you really know about your Organisation. If you dont, ignorance is bliss….enjoy….
If you do…..then think….and think again…..How are the monies / assets accounted ? and how are they managed ? What about tax evation and accounts doctoring ? Are you aware of the expensive life styles of your fellow teachers ? Are you sure that they will not jump ship and rat on you and make you accountable for many of the fraudulent past actions ??? Remember, those who are left behind pay the price. And its not going to be long……AND you are being watched…..the next devotee that steps into your office could be your undoing…they could be the part of a Tehelka like exposure !!!!
Do you think the establishment is stupid not to watch carefully and closely at organisations that are getting bigger and bigger and more powerful ?
The swoop is imminent. Its your sense of timing is what I want to point out to you…..when is it going to be…my dear ???

Neither – it is simply pointing out the faults with AoL and letting people decided for themselves.
Every religion and every cult has both good and bad sides to it. All we are doing here is making people aware of AoL’s bad side which it is trying its hardest to hide from the public. I’m sure that all other religions and cults have similar blogs exposing their wrong-doings, and as this is very much a blog focused on AoL’s activities, anything else is pretty off-topic.
Which is why I have had to use those magical scissors again. 😉

No Mr Stupid, I never mentioned that you have forced me or anyone else to read your posts. I did read your posts in the beginning but have given up reading them since quite sometime. Trust me I would not even have responded had you written the comment made by Jr for the simple reason that I would not have read it. Anyways I always thought that you are really a stupid and do not have any brains but I stand corrected now as you were intelligent enough to recognize from my comment above that it was intended for you without me having addressed you directly i.e. Stupidseeker.
Keep posting, maybe there are some people who like your comments. As far as I am concerned I firmly believe that you are true to your name Stupidseeker and would never ever read your posts/comments.
AOLers are a bunch of wackos and those who thought that “AOL” did something bad to them are into creating this blog that intends to be some sort of solace or truth seeking place. The point is, the people who own or write on this blog are a bunch of wackos too, refusing to move past of shunning AOL. I mean, even someone from a bad break-up with his/her partner would have moved on. This is after all some fake faith that is turning you guys crazy.

Surely identifying myself in this post of yours wouldn’t have been too difficult, right ? Even for someone as harebrained as myself, as you describe me ?? And you might be happy to note that the Doctor has deleted all my posts that many found so offensive.
. i find that this letter raises important issues … as i’ve mentioned in an earlier post … the presence of emotion only ratifies the fact that the writer speaks from personal experience … there is no malice or prejudice here … it’s a genuine word of caution … for which the writer deserves respect …
. i chanced upon a video by the art of living foundation that claims that “god is a businessman” … can’t say about god … but SSRS definitely is … from what i recall of the geeta … it says that we should do what we need to do … “karma” … without estimating or aspiring for potential benefits … the very concept of a fee-based course contradicts the geeta … the exclusion of those who cannot afford that fee … is reminiscent of the later vedic age … when the untouchables were not allowed to enter temples …
. if the art of living foundation has confidence in the value of its courses … then why doesn’t it allow everyone to attend them … and at the end of each course … allow participants to contribute what they can afford to contribute … what is the fear ? … is it that some people will not feel like contributing anything at the end of a course ? …
. in a nation where almost all those who wield power … are dividing people along different lines … do we now need an “outfit” that divides people along class lines ? … why do you support that division ? … why do you perpetuate it ? … should one assume that you support and perpetuate it because you are “aware” ? … i don’t think so … it is only those who are not “aware” who fall into the trap spread by divisive forces … it is to them that the above letter is addressed … if this division along class lines is beneficial for the nation and the world … then where is the response explaining that to those of us who do not know the advantages of division along class lines ? … where is the response that explains why those who cannot afford the courses don’t deserve to attend courses because they can’t afford the fee for those courses ? … is the quest for spirituality a commodity that can be purchased only by the affluent ? … if yes, then why is it so ? …
. similarly, if the art of living foundation has confidence in the way it facilitates an ancient practice called “sudarshan kriya” … then what is the need for a copyright ? … if facilitation is indeed unique … allow all to participate … and allow participants to determine the fee … and let it be according to what they can afford … how can people be excluded on the basis of which financial class they belong to ? …
. those who claim to be true leaders … do not hesitate in declaring their financial assets … or sharing their accounts … since time immemorial, transparency has addressed any and every apprehension about the absence of transparency … if you’re not able to state with a clear conscience and with conviction that there is transparency … then it only means that there is no transparency … if you can’t substantiate that transparency with a detailed statement of accounts … then that means that you have no clarity … and that is what the above letter is expressing … the absence of transparency and the absence of clarity …
. whether or not you are discovered … whether or not you are put behind bars … you know and we know … that the art of living foundation … is not transparent … if it was, then the debate would probably be about how much of what is earned should be spent … on which community-building activity or project … and that wouldn’t even be a debate … it would probably be just a dialogue … SSRS would probably say … “we made x amount of money this month” … and ask the members of the art of living foundation for ideas on how to spend that money … or a portion of it … wouldn’t that be a democratic process? … wouldn’t that be a true example of the decentralization of power? …
. the question really is … do you have it in you to leave an “outfit” that is not transparent ? … or, is the lack of transparency “okay” with you ? … the question also is … do you have it in you to leave an “outfit” that divides people along financial lines ? … or, is it “okay” with you ? … and might i add … that if you were “okay” with the practices of the art of living foundation … you wouldn’t be reading this post … happy independence day … may you find the courage to assert your independence …
What an interesting post for me… specially considering that my post trauma syndrome was caused by the current president of the foundation, hehe… it is absolutely true that once the dirty laundry of AOL gets finally exposed (the truth eventually shall prevail sooner or later) the foundation will leave its closest members on their own. Remember Osho´s first executive assistant Sheila, she went to jail and then moved to Switzerland, and her guru blamed Her for the events happened in the ashram of Muddy Ranch in the US.

One senior teacher has a plan, or at least voiced one to me: She told me that she would not always be with Guruji, but would be going out on her own to be a guru in her own right. LOL That is what she believes, but it never happened yet. Maybe several of them have contingencies. They complain enough about being there, how hard it is, how they hate it, how they wish they could leave, how they have ‘nowhere else to go’. Yet so many stay on and on and on. Maybe they plan to expose Ravi Shankar themselves and take over? Nope. He’s carefully put everything in the family name. 😉
