I have some explosive info for you!
A very credible source has given me information that Guruji’s assets are more than Rs 10,000 crores.
He and the Art of Living have major accounting fraud and can be raid by income tax dept tomorrow were it not for Sri Sri’s powerful ties with the Government and Mukesh Ambani who controls Sri Sri through his financial contributions to him.
Also, Sri Sri keeps changing sides and can’t be trusted, once he backed BJP in the last general elections but because of threats by Sonia Gandhi and Congress which came into power he has now become their agent to protect his misgivings.
He has been playing an unethical double role in Anna Hazare’s team of both support and also being a congress agent. Similar to Swami Agnivesh. He is also getting tremendous media and public attention though awesome PR in the Anna Hazare anti-corruption campaign.
At every deadlock he met with both the BJP and Congress leaders and brokered deals more favorable to Congress. That’s why team Anna’s demands kept getting diluted down to just a discussion of 3 points in Parliament. And he convinced team Anna that a bill will take a long time to pass we need to first start with discussion on 3 major points, and insisted that Anna break his fast as per the Congress demand.
Swami Agnivesh’s conversation was recorded by one of his followers using a cell phone so he was caught red handed. That has not happened yet with Sri Sri but he was exposed by former Election Commissioner, TN Seshan (if anyone heard the interview he gave). Seshan said that he gave the draft he created of a ‘Lokpal Commission’ to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ONLY. I DON’T KNOW WHO SRI SRI GAVE MY IDEA AND DRAFT TO, but Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Parliament on the Lokpal Commission was word by word from that draft. My insider source tells me that Sri Sri gave this draft to Sonia, Rahul and the core Sonia gang. They then discussed this and came up with a strategy to derail and delay the Anna movement by a speech in Parliament by Rahul. Which of course back fired and gave a political setback to Rahul rather than making him a hero. The PM, Mr. Singh, is not in the Sonia gang and there has been a divide in the Congress party.
I hope that if Sri Sri is playing this unethical game, that he be exposed like Swami Agnivesh, so that he stops betraying Anna and India.

when was the last time SSRS stood up for any kind of cause, which went in direct confrontation with the ruling givernment the way ramdev and hazare did ?? In both cases he played it safe and acted as a moderator between them and the government. He successfully played the game of being seen in the good books of both them and the government. Quite a politician himself this sri sri. So no matter who wins or loses sri sri gets his fame and popularity.
You have the right to be abusive and ignorant and in every attack there lies a truth about the attacker.
I am not looking for purity in Sri Sri and I am also looking for victory of the anti-corruption movement. I applaud the efforts of Sri Sri in terms of raising awareness, supporting the cause, bringing values which is really the long term cure for ills of society.
I consider Sri Sri as my Guru but not God.
It’s realistic that each person has a good side and bad side. If Sri Sri has given this to Rahul Gandhi with the INTENTION of personal gain and NOT for the benefit of country, then he has betrayed Anna Hazare and this is unethical. Just as Swami Agnivesh’s double play for personal gain was unethical.
I will not name my source, but I will only say this, there are far more informed people in this world and far wiser than you and me. Sri Sri plays the game well, protects his constituency (if you understand the term). I have no problems with that, as long as the benefits out weigh the cost.
The day Sri Sri’s ills out weigh the good he’s doing he is contribution balance to the world is going to hurt others.
I am just informing you – he IS A SONIA agent, let’s see what happens if she looses power. And with powerful devotees like Indu Jain he satisfies his desire to be in the lime light.

The only interests ravi shankar ever served were firstly his own and secondly those of his relatives. If you want such a self serving person, who as mentioned below runs with the hare and hunts with the hounds, as your guru, thats your call.
Regarding the intelligence and skill part of it, he does have sufficient intelligence to realise the potential for “spirituality” as a product to be packaged and sold for fame and money in Indian society where electoral politics to this day utilizes religion and caste to win votes.He knows very well that his claims of “enlightenment” vis a vis his white robes, his beard and beatific smile will be accepted by large swathes of faithful people whose minds are already fertile ground to plant the seeds of claims of his spiritually exalted state.
Ramdev was the loser in his faceof with the government, but ravi shankar the mediator won, and hazare was the winner in his faceof with the government and ravi shankr the mediator still won. At the end of the day he was just a mediator, neither the loser that ramdev was nor the winner that hazare is.Thats what he is only ever going to be known as, a moderator playing second fiddle to his braver counterparts ramdev and hazare. Always the moderator never the newsmaker.And if i know anything about this man, this playing second fiddle is sure going to rankle.;-)

He never opposed the ruling government while appearing to support both hazare’s and ramdev’s fasts. Even in his own home state of Karnataka, he didn’t raise his voice against the corruption rampant in BSY’s government especially that relating to the mining scams in Bellary.His silence was because of the indulgence shown to him by BSY when he was on his land acquisition spree in and around the ashram.
In a land where spirituality sells like nothing else Ravi shankar has cornered a big share of the market and is using his “enlightened” status to earn for himself more fame and money.
During one of the interviews on the 11th day of fast, SSRS said that “Anna ji should stop the fast and if he agrees to Lokpal bill draft given by T N Sheshan, I can get this bill passed on Monday itself”.
SSRS emphatically boasted twice in hindi that he can get T N Sheshan version passed by government on Monday (somvaar) itself.
WoW !! what an arrogance! This also showed where his allegiance lies.
He is worse than Swami Agnivesh who was caught speaking against ANNA. SSRS betrayed both Anna and BJP and helped Sonia and Rahul.
The imminent threat of a CBI raid might have been the cause of this full time middleman (broker or as they say in hindi *Dalla*) role in the whole episode. When he was confronted by the media about the land encroachment he deliberately referred the land in question as the parcel where the ashram is built and offered to shave his head and beard if the land is wrongly occupied. But he conveniently dodged the actual reference which is the land behind Ayurveda centre and further from ashram.

We see MMY with hands folded before his guru brahmananda saraswati seated on the shankaracharya throne who inturn is shown seated below adi shankaracharya.The year is 2001.

We know that brahmananda saraswati died in 1953 while ravi shankar was born in 1956. Thus a guru shishya relationship in physical sense can be ruled out.

In such case, metaphysical explanations, such as past life associations or ravi shankar being reincarnation of saraswati may be used.
No matter what the explanation for the AOLisation of saraswati will be, it is known that the guru puja is mandatory for the TTC, thus this incorporation of saraswati and hence the shankaracharya lineage into AOL will have happened with the full knowledge and approval of ravi shankar.

(Author of this post) I would like to continue this discussion about Sri Sri’s role in the anti-corruption campaign in India. Anna Hazare and team are going to face a thousand obstacles and arrows from the Govt. They have already started taking revenge. Unfortunately dear Anna is a simple man and Kiran Bedi authentic however in my opinion neither equipped to deal with the political sharks. If you look behind the scenes they are the biggest criminals in the country. The BJP also will not save them, except perhaps Gadkari. Most people can be bought. Sushma Swaraj took money to agree to change from Vote to Sense of the House. Arun Jaitley is a Havala King and congress MPs his clients as well.
So who will protect and keep this movement alive? Who can skillfully deal with the Congress? If Sri Sri doesn’t betray Anna due to threats from Sonia and gang (PC, Sibal, Pranab) he is the only hope to keep this movement alive. I was dismayed that he is playing this double game with Anna by covertly giving the draft to Rahul. Giving him the benefit of doubt that Rahul perhaps maybe in position to implement this rather than Anna and team, at the cost of making Rahul a hero. However it back fired. And Sri Sri was quite angry at Rahul because he came close to being exposed.
On a 2nd note. I feel there is nothing wrong in power, money and fame being with good human beings such as Dalai Lama, Bill Gates (philanthropist), etc. more to them. Krishna and Ram were also rich, powerful and famous. However; money power and fame has corrupted Sri Sri in my opinion and that will be his down fall eventually. Right now he is still bringing modern hinduism, universal values/truth to millions, better than the mullahs who are recruiting terrorists. While his good side is greater than his bad I will continue to applaud him. I don’t know anyone in the world you can equal him – I have a right to my opinion. Ravana was also a great devotee and very intelligent, but he got corrupted and became arrogant.
And finally be dispassionate to both good and bad, it’s all in God’s plan. Both aversion to bad and craving for good is unhealthy.

Still Hearsay. These people really are not as stupid as you say they are. Assuming they are not totally clean – these people have been union ministers. Small and petty bribery is not their game.

More speculation. I don’t anyone would be that stupid to leave a movement they have worked hard to build, and that too after it has been such a tremendous success. And clearly it did not happen in the last 6 months when the going was tough. But after they achieve success, they would bicker and split. That sounds real plausible.

Both Swami Agnivesh and SSRS were Congress representative. Ramdev was exposed. However, SSRS walked a very fine line and narrowly missed being publicly exposed as a person who was helping current Indian government to save his illegal empire as well as to increase his fame and power.
If Swami Agnivesh was indeed not speaking to Kapil Sibal (in the infamous video) as he claims, SSRS could be the person on other sides of the call.
Swami Agnivesh addressed the person in the phone converstation as kapil ji.. he later tried to say that he was speaking to his friend Swami Kapil in Rishikesh/Haridwar, but Swami Kapil when asked totally denied speaking to Swami Agnivesh, also added that Swami Agnivesh was lying. Swami Agnivesh fell silent after this statement.
The IAC campaign was started by Bharat Swabhiman Movement led by Baba Ramdev, and initially they brought together Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Kiran Bedi. Later Sri Sri Ravi Shankar backed out and then much later Baba Ramdev also backed out. It was not called IAC back then.

Later on Sri Sri did lend his support to the movement but then became disinterested when(around day 10 of the 12 day fast) their volunteers and senior teachers were sidelined. Most of them would either come just for photo sessions and/ or to sign up people for the basic course, which the IAC volunteers understood and started keeping AoL away at bay.

What happens if an Income tax raid happens in AOL premises? They take money as donations for classes abroad. I do not how how this is all accounted.I do not find any service initiatives happening through AOL. For any service also they collect separately from Devotees . Just causght attention to this. I am an IT professional at a senior position but now on long leave especially for this cause. I am fortunate enough to be associated with Inida gainst corruption team . I think the actual facts are viewd with absolute colored perception. While our group (two of my friends quit jobs from senior positions for this cause)did not have any opinion or background on artof living’s involvement, we are quite impressed with the way the volunteers from that organization were involved, supported us from day 1 ( from year
2010).We are impressed with remarkable commitement attitude. Sri Sri has been back bone throughout -from day 1. My learning from this was – it is easiest thing to criticize anyone or anybody’s work but it is
hard to be constructive contributors. Open Letter to Ford Foundation and Arvind Kejriwal
Business Standard published this morning an interview with Arvind Kejriwal and Steven Solnick, India country Rep of Ford Foundation in an article titled Claims that Hazare’s movement is US-funded baseless: Arvind.
They confirmed Arundhati Roy’s charge that Kabir, a Kerjiwal NGO received $ 400,000 during the last 3 years as funding from Ford Foundation. On the broader allegations whether the US steamrolled the Anna Hazare anti-corruption agitation, they drove themselves further to a corner. We send them an open letter as a reaction to their interview.

@rajanalexander: The biggest contributor to IAC has been Ford Foundation. Arvind’s Kabir, Kiran Bedi’s and Sushodia’s NGOs also receive money from Ford Foundation. And as is commonly known that the Ford Foundation is a front for CIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Foundation) I’m confused because CIA is always in favor of corrupt leaders in other countries who they can influence using money bags so why would they sponsor an anti-corruption movement?
I also want to tell @Peaceful Warrior in code that MMS is supplying a lot of the info leaked to a previous colleague and friend of his whom I know personally. And also MMS is not in the Sonia gang.
If you say so…..not that it matters much. IMO everyone in the corridors of power is afraid of a witch hunt – which is why it’ll be tough to get the bill passed. Already they are testing the mettle of everyone in the IAC team – first bhushan was targetted, then anna, and now kejriwal. SSRS has somehow escaped the fire for now – probably because he’s been smart not put himself in the spotlight and directly at odds with the government.
Not that he resents someone else taking the spotlight. In front of devotees he talks as if whole anti-corruption movement was his and AOL’s doing. The man is an attention whore- but still if something good comes from it, i got no problems.
A politician (including politician wearing yogic robes) has no permanent friends or enemies. They change sides as people change clothes. The Guru wears a reversible jacket; one side has a BJP motif and the other side has a congress motif.

An elegant universal principle is that Energy (Strength, power) Follows Attention. The starting point is important. Intent behind action is important. A full alignment between thought, words and action is necessary. In this case the words unfortunately, draw the attention away from
1. The many 100s of millions of Indians that want a just and transparent governance, their passions and integrity and attention is instead diverted to the the handful that perpetrate corruption.
2. The very name, implies prosecution and trial for misuse of resources/position Vs highlighting the abundance of resources and wealth that are available to the country today for harnessing.
In my inside AOL days, I remember having heard Sri Sri himself say many times that its what we stand for and not what we are against that matters.
Why was the IAC movement even allowed to have in their name the words “AGAINST CORRUPTION”.
I wondered, with Sri Sri among the co-founders….how did he even allow it to have that name ???? …..he should have corrected Anna, Kiran Bedi, Ramdev and Arvind…and everybody else that were potentially in favour of this name. (I make this statement making a rank assumption…..that none of the others were even remotely aware of the implications of the name, but I know Sri Sri is). The cause is a very important cause for all of the country.
It baffles me to think that the IAC founding LEADERSHIP did not even see this. In which case the leadership (With Sri Sri in it) is fundamentally weak (by intent, by spirit, by knowledge) ……
OR…are there are some in the team that have always known that by naming it so, the IAC will inherently not draw the right energies and resources to itself…..and that its only a matter of time before it implodes…….and this is not going to be a sustainable campaign. And those who knew this, set it into motion and quietly disengaged ?.
While it is probable that the founders all had clean intents and were actually representing a “India for Transparency” and somehow when it came to naming their movement they missed out on this important tag line. However, the tens of millions of people that support this movement have this programming called “Against Corruption” in their collective psyches. This is counter productive and wasteful.
This is identical to George Bush’s 2001 “War against Terror”. Since its inception, the war spending, political lies, manipulation, the spread in violence has only increased many fold.

This whole IAC gig was to add to the resume of of “social activists” bhushan, kejriwal and bedi using corruption as the excuse and the emotional appeal of hazare as the weapon.The legitimate anger of the people towards corruption did the rest of the job.Whether or not their bill works the wonders the IAc has promised is going to be another ball game altogether. AOL has never really showed in terms of numbers and figures, in black and white, how much money was spent, where,how on whom and for what it was spent. Where does it post this info? As an NGO can’t it not make public its accounts ?? What about ravi shankars private bank balance? Have you heard of Sumeru Realty ? Have you heard of the Soudhamini Township? Where did money for this come from ?
All we get to hear is repeated statements of the “loads and loads” of work done by AOL from AOL supporters like yourself.
And yes, one more thing, as a salaried professional I pay my taxes to the government of india while this ravi shankar, leader of an NGO, doesn’t pay a penny in tax even as he set up businesses for his relatives and nephews. Whatever charity he does is from the “donations” he receives for his courses, the word “donation” being used instead of fees to maybe not give give the impression that “spirituality” is not being coomercialised and for tax exemption purposes also maybe.
Why don’t you make a start and ask your AOL teacher where and in which public service project your money was spent? Make that effort to find out before you accuse anybody here of slandering your guru.

Guys, before making such judgements do some research on why core Team members like Sontosh hegde, Loksatta founder JP are distancing themselves from the active campaign. Agressive and arogant approach by Annaji and kejriwal is not acceptable by all. SRI SRI is also one of them. Just because PM doesn’t support all points from Jan lokpal you can’t start blaming him. This is a bill which was under discussion since 50 years and you can’t rush through without a dialog. Thanks to sri sri that he is bridging the gap and allowing the dialog to happen. If not why an parliament should engage us for the lakpal bill. Try to appreciate guys. Only when you have faith and respect for other person, can you be true to the movement. You cannot just listen to one side of the game and pass a judgement.

Abut one sided judgements you should convey that message to that fellow who passes judgements on people with half knowledge( meaning us) as if he is the very epitome of al knowledge in this world, his comments on non vegetarian food, his megalomania, etc. You should ask him to come to one of our interactions before passing judgements on us or contest for a seat get elected and then reform the system. First of all give up the lands which has usurped through politicians like Yaddiyurappa who according to you is probably the most honest one around! He needs ‘corrupt’ politicians to grant land and for such other favours. But, when it comes to criticizing them in public, he can utter whatever he likes! He mus be probably telling them dont take these things seriously- they are all for public consumption only.

well said Narendra Nayak , i have something important to share here, this guy daadiwaala’s cousin is a fequent visitor to my jewellery shop and mostly does business with us post biz hours, i know its biz for me but looking at their so called MODEST back ground, who would invest in jewellery for nearly 2 – 2.5 crores every month ( be it ornaments or gold biscuits-99.9 purity)

Boss in today’s world to survive anyone who’s running a biz should ne a “shrewd bastard” even if they are good by heart, only then they can make good money, but am not emphasizing on money becoming the priority or the primitive means of life. these sick sadhus are nothing but a waste of time but PEOPLE who are living by means of MONEY and their maturity levels deepened by the sources that they earn through puts them at more vulnerability to follow such “DICKS”.
i’d rather say or ask people to just spend some time at home in a quiet/calmer place and start introspecting oneself ( can be done by a Layman without anyone’s support) , then its a wonderful experience – this is usually tough for a couple of days- but once you get the confidence then you can be in absolute control of oneself and trust me – If u are a chronic smoker / alcoholic / impatient / man – you can certainly heal yourself.
