2) If you don’t have any problems doing this, share the above link on Facebook, Twitter and any other social media sites you are a member of, and also ask people you know to Like it. You can also email it to them if you’re ok to do this.

3) If you know any radio or even TV stations especially in India, please email them with a link to this video, people are always on the look out for funny material and you never know, they may play this!

Let’s everyone do whatever we can to promote this, it could go a long way especially given Sri Sri’s recent disasterous blunder!

    Wow !!! Amazingly amusing !!!

And, incredibly insightful too. Before seeing this video, I couldn’t have guessed how aggressively and vehemently AoL promotes the culture of not questioning anything. I knew but I didn’t know how blatant it was. Plus, it’s all so convenient. Either Mr. Ravi Shankar is testing his disciples, or, anyone who is questioning him has “an ego” and “a small mind”. Further, tapes don’t work without human beings because simple automation is subject to “guru grace”. Even Hinduism is sometimes a synonym of secularism and sometimes a religion. And, of course, the solution to all problems is some course or the other, or, a number of courses, or, repeating the same course.

The end is profound. It is indeed the desperation for happiness that drives people from the real world into the fake and false world of AoL. Instead of making people more courageous, more brave, and, more resilient, AoL makes people dependent on one individual who heads one organization. The desperation is understandable. Most of us have experienced it at one point or another. But, at least most of us don’t exploit that desperation.

I wonder what it takes to be someone who exploits people so ruthlessly. Mr. Ravi Shankar probably has no sense of ethics whatsoever. He’s selling solace and relief — feeding on stress. He probably possesses a very small mind that sees people as objects that can be manipulated. His ability to manipulate people must be giving him a high that he is addicted to so badly that his ego simply won’t relent. He must be a terribly insecure person. He must be constantly hankering for things. Maybe people don’t say it but they identify with him because they hanker for things too — for everything from enlightenment to foreign travel to clear skin to happiness. In the end of this video clip, this becomes apparent. The guy is able to say no because he is not hankering for things. He seems like an “enlightened” chap — courageous, brave, and, resilient — ready to live in the world and face his life.

Someone just emailed me the following:

Guruji says in a post on http://www.facebook.com/otfatp :

A monk was walking one late night. It was drizzly New York night. The monk was walking. Bass from a midnight party sent waves through his maroon cloak. He approached the door and knocked.
A girl in her twenties, dressed as a Satan opened the door and screamed into the monk’s ear, “Your costume looks SO cool man! Come on in!!!”.

    The monk was Enlightened.

Comment from AoL member # 1: Nice

Comment from AoL member # 2: If i m nt wrong there is sm grt message in this..can any one elaborate..

Comment from AoL member # 3: no one can (except guruji)

Comment from AoL member # 4: i think this is already elobrated by sri sri that was You can’t even say ‘enlightened person’, you can only say ‘enlightenment’ because when the person’s personalities disappear, dissolve, then that is enlightenment.

    Comment from AoL member # 5: 🙂

Comment from AoL member # 6: The girl thought the monk is in fancy dress just like herself and she just commented on that…but the monk (who must be meditating for sure), it was a lightning statement that his body is just a costume and he is more than that…just tried at explaining, but very difficult… 🙂

Comment from AoL member # 7: I agree, that mere dressing like monk doesn’t make a person truly monk. The monk in the story might have got enlightened towards his enlightenment when he understood the fact. 🙂

Strong criticism is being meted out to Ravi Shankar’s irresponsible and immature statement.

      @ Anonymous

      Thank you for the link.

Btw, isn’t RS himself a product of a govt school? he himself claims so, in satsangs.
By advising privatising of the existing govt. schools, I fear if this man has the intention of converting all the govt schools to SSRVMs (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandirs).

    Thank you for the link.

“I feel that all the schools and colleges should be privatised and handed over to some other Sanstha (organisation)”

What? hand over all the govt.schools to AOL organisation? Looks like RS has the intention of converting all the govt schools to SSRVMs (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandirs), the “Aadarsh Vidyalayas”.

Btw, isn’t RS himself a product of a govt school? he himself claims so, in satsangs.

May be govt. schools produced saints when RS was a student. And Now…..when RS is an established business man ooops enlightened Guru….govt. schools create naxals. Just the right time (Easy target) for RS to take over more innocent lives and generate more business in the name of Seva.

SSRS didnt say that all govt. school kids are Naxalites. He said that people who are found to be involved in Naxal activities, majority of them are from Govt. Schools.
Is like there are 1000 students in the school…not all of them are Naxals, but if there are 10 people found in such activities, may be 8 out of those 10 are Naxalites….i think we shud decipher that!
Its wrong to start bashing SSRs without getting to know what he said exactly…we arent here for this are we? 🙂
And u have to give this guy some credit for his smartness with Media…that is the MAIN talent he has…PR and media management…he can’t screw up his core competency….lol!

Very wrong way to look at it, saying majority of naxals from government schools. Majority of naxals are obviously from poor sections of society if they had enough money then they wont be going to govt schools of course. Problem is not Government schools make these products, underprivileged happened to go to govt schools and they happened to be naxals later. Govt schools doesn’t have eduction tailored to make naxals. If you start classifying using crooked logic then you have to start classifying “naxals are particular caste or greed, from particular religion ( Hindu possibly majority of them), region (north) and so on. Bottom line “Govt schools don’t have curriculum tailored to produce naxals” it is all in crooked SSRS mind. May be he is betting on education business for his Org and he knows where he can get some business, where the feeder schools/students are and how he can get the money from govt to run it.

Oh yeah, another GW Bush with foot in mouth disease. As if this is the first time he has made such statements in public. Only thing is that in the past he has got away most of the time. The only few blunders that got highlighted were
    1) Zakhir Naik debate
    2) Assassination attempt episode
    3) Shobha de interview

But people who have been close to the organization knows about the numerous utterly stupid things he says routinely.

If anyone is still wondering why people are bashing RS, then thats a wonder! As far as deciphering the indepth meaning of his statement is concerned…….I think this is his business expansion plan.

Pls go thru the link below.

    http://www.deccanherald.com/content/140243/govt-launches-art-living-colleges.html

Rs. 2.4 crores generated from conducting the courses in govt. colleges. (I’m not sure of the total amount that Aol received from the govt after all the batches were conducted).

So the first qtn that would come to the mind is…..why not conduct aol courses in schools that are in the naxal affected areas? but then how much will it help aol?

A one time course means a one time fee…
Taking over the schools …….its a Cash cow.

The (manavate) courses were a comedy show. There was a shortage of YES teachers as very few teachers knew the local language. All the part-1 teachers, including the jr. teachers were Just given the YES course manual and asked to go teach. As long as you can barely manage to speak the local language …….. Just go take the course/ assist the course. The teachers took the course the way they wanted to and the students were visibly disinterested…..asking questions like…..Is he mad to say So ham….. so ham….. so fast…..That we cant even breathe properly!

That ofcourse infuriated the teachers who felt the students had “No gratitude”

His suggestions on governments schools sounds only as sensible as his suggestion of “Vote for Bjp”

We participated in the election campaining, distributing hand bills with aol name & logo and insinuating people to vote for BJP. We sent and received sms’s to aol devotees reminding them to vote for BJP. We din’t know the MASTER’s PLAN behind it. Its so much more easier when your in the good books of the local govt. isn’t it?

His statements are again entertaining. During the live ashtavakra sessions, we were told by RS…do you know the daily expenses of the Ashram? WE use 100 kilos of Salt (alone) EVERY DAY!
Now what can one decipher from this statement?

Well as far as the students learn some meditation free .. I don’t really mind this Manavate project .. There sure is some value addition in their lives … I don’t think they will generate any volunteers or full timers from the Manavate project ..
